FRequently Asked Questions

What do you mean by client-led coaching?

You are the expert on your own life. My role isn't to tell you what to do or hand you a  prefab formula for getting there.

I listen, ask questions, reflect what I'm hearing, challenge assumptions when useful, and help you consider perspectives and possibilities you may not have considered on your own.

You decide what we work on and what you take from it.

Who is your coaching for?

My coaching is for anyone who is ready to take a closer look at where they are and what they want next.

What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?

Both offer a confidential space to reflect, explore patterns, and make meaningful changes, but they serve different purposes.

Therapy generally focuses on working through psychological or emotional challenges, including diagnosed mental health conditions and issues that may be rooted in the past. Coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

Coaching is generally future-focused. We center on where you are now, where you want to go, and what may be getting in the way.

If you're unsure which is right for you, we can talk about it in our initial conversation.

What do you mean by wellness?

I don't subscribe to one particular approach to wellness. For me, it means paying attention to where our energy comes from and where it goes.

I see wellness as a state of being that shapes all aspects of how we experience life, including our physical and mental wellbeing, relationships, work, environment, and sense of purpose and agency.

When we operate from a state of wellness, we're better positioned to think clearly and make and follow through on thoughtful decisions.
